The IFN Schönow Inc. offers interested parties in insemination practices its potential for methods of examination of sperm, particularly under the following conditions:

  • initial settings at start of sperm production
  • general depression of sperm quality
  • management of quality control of sperm
  • management of transformation of practice and of initiating techniques with new instrumentation
  • efficient balancing of selective paternal insemination animals for sperm count per insemination
  • dissolution of dispute based on independent observation, documentation, and certification

All examinations are feasible for bull, boar, he-goat, and stallion. Delivery of sperm will be secured by the requesting party according to agreement with the IFN Schönow Inc. Original sperm is to be made available for examination within six hours of its emission.

In addition to regulation about sperm concentration, the array of examination encompasses morphological differentiation of the sperm, specification of parameters of motility behavior, of energy metabolism, and of functioning of cell membranes, as well as examination of the condition of acrosomal functioning.

If requested, status of chromatin and further physiological parameters or contents of sperm can be specified. Aside from diverse microscopic techniques, cytochemical, as well as biochemical Tests, examinations make use of computer-assisted motility analysis and of flow cytometry.

Results of examinations will itemize and evaluate measurements and--according to the magnitude of examination--an estimate of the fertility prognosis for the paternal insemination animal.
