Research objectives aim at making contributions to improving evaluation of sperm quality and to standardizing the capacity of insemination of
paternal insemination animals.

Main Focus

Investigation encompasses modern complexities of testing of the physiological make-up of fresh or of conserved sperm, centering on the
following functional and structural aspects:

• in vitro ability to capacitate
• calcium metabolism
• ability to regulate physiological conditions under moderate stress
• behavior of sperm motility
• metabolism producing energy
• particularities of the characteristics of cell membranes
• morphology

The objective of this investigation is to bundle parameters of quality of sperm into an index which enables prognosis of fertility and of capacity
for impregnation of paternal insemination animals
